Young Judo Club Sittingbourne Junior Medal Winners
Senior YJC Coach John Clarke 6th Dan has now been
organising small tournaments at SMAC for several years now. They have become a
very popular with Judoka from Kent, Bedford and London. The competition is for
Children and Adult Kyu Grades, all competitors are matched on the day to get
the fairest way of competing, John and Sue Tanner from Faversham match the
Judoka.
This event attracted 70
competitors it was held ay the YJC Dojo not a large area with a mat 30ft -30ft
and limited spectator space but what it succeeds in doing is creating a
friendly atmosphere ideal for young Judoka. Thanks must go to Mile Brown for
refereeing, Rebecca Clarke and Keith Costa for administering the event
John also organising Courses in becoming an Instructor in Judo
and Sambo as well as Sambo Competitions
